Please read below for more information on the two tracks of our program. > > Track 1 is a 21-month experience offered in conjunction with a Master of Science degree in Family and Consumer Science that provides both thesis and non-thesis options. Highlights of this program include graduate assistantships to help pay for tuition, a stipend for the first two semesters, low student to teacher ratio and tuition waivers periodically awarded based on merit. The MS/DI will accept 10 students. > > Track 2 is a 9-month distance internship which includes a 10 credit Graduate Certificate. This track offers the flexibility for interns to establish supervised practice experiences anywhere in the United States and does not require supervised practice schedules to be submitted with DICAS applications in February. Students have until June 1st and October 1st to secure fall and spring rotations sites, respectively. The distance internship will accept 50 students. > > Both programs are designed to provide the opportunity to develop skills in the areas of clinical nutrition therapy, community nutrition, and food service managements with a concentration in Leadership and Project Management. Hello Everyone! I just wanted to clarify the date for the QC DI virtual open house date. The QC dietetics club and Professor Charny will be hosting a QC DI Virtual Open House on Wednesday, October 28th @ 12:15pm-1:30pm. The open house will provide an opportunity to connect with QC DI Faculty Members and ask questions about the program. The Dietetic Internship (DI) at Queens College offers an intern the opportunity to acquire the essential knowledge and skills for a position as an entry-level dietitian. Interns are placed in a variety of local facilities to develop their skills in the practice of dietetics. Hello Everyone! Thank you again for joining us during our last meeting. I hope you enjoyed our speaker, Patricia Greenberg. We had a great discussion about alternative jobs in Nutrition. There was a lot of interest in writing cookbooks and other publications. Patrica Greenberg will be joining us again in November to host a cookbook workshop! Monday, October 5th @ 12:15pm we will be having another meeting: "Food Service Management - with Guest Speaker Sejal Davis MS and Ale Zozos MS, RDN Sejal Davis obtained her masters in Clinical Nutrition from NYU. She decided to continue her career in Food Management at Morrison (Mount Sinai Queens). Ale Zozos MS, RDN is also a graduate of NYU. She works for a private practice and runs the page Mediterranean Nutritionist on Facebook. She counsels groups on the Mediterranean diet. They will share with us their experiences in the food industry.
