[Socrates] Self-paced Best Practices for Teaching Online at Queens College, February 8 to March 22, 2021

The Center for Teaching & Learning at Queens College is offering a five-session asynchronous Best Practices for Teaching Online workshop from February 8 to March 22, 2021.
 
As participants in this workshop, faculty will be able to: offer a student-centered learning experience in an online learning environment, support students in achieving essential learning objectives creatively and flexibly, re-imagine face-to-face pedagogies and projects in an online environment, demonstrate competency in choosing and using digital tools for teaching remotely, design effective online learning activities that engage students in the learning process, and support the achievement of intended student learning outcomes.
 
Faculty can choose to take the workshop in Blackboard or Google Classroom.
 
We are offering two certifications:

***Full Teaching Online Certification***
Offered both on the Blackboard and on the Google Classroom. Faculty who successfully complete the Full Teaching Online training will receive a Certificate of Completion and compensation of $500 for their participation.

***Emergency Teaching Online Certification*** 
Offered only on Blackboard. Faculty who successfully complete the Emergency Teaching Online training will receive a Certificate of Completion and compensation of $150 for their participation.

Faculty are ineligible to participate in this workshop if you have already completed an online training course from CTL after May 2020 or from the CUNY School of Professional Studies.
