Hey Dietetic Club Members! I hope you're ready to flex those creative muscles 💪 because we are having a dietetics club T-shirt design contest! 🎨 *Here are the rules to the contest * 📋 1. Logo must include *QC Dietetics* or *QCDC* 2. Logo design must be a maximum of *3 colors*. Keep in mind the logo will be on either a white or black shirt (logo designer can pick the shirt color) 3. Logo design needs to be emailed to *qcdieteticsclub(a)gmail.com <qcdieteticsclub(a)gmail.com>* by *November 1st*. After all, designs are submitted a google form will be sent out to all club members to vote on the design they like most. The winner of the contest will get a shout-out at the last meeting and win an Amazon gift card! Shirts will be printed for members who register/participate in the last club meeting of the semester. Wednesday's Meeting

Hi Club Members! Just reminding everyone about this week's upcoming meeting. Our meeting this week is going to be held on Wednesday, October 20th at 12:15. On Monday October 18th, Dr. Fischer is holding a DICAS prep meeting for Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors to plan ahead. Our speaker this week is Jenny Westercamp! Jenny is the founder of a program called All Access Dietetics. She founded the program in 2008 and has used her platform to help thousands of future dietitians get matched with an internship! Jenny is going to give a thirty minute presentation about personal statements. Personal statements are a huge part of the DICAS application and will help you match with your future internship. Hi Club Members, Today's meeting with Lauren went amazing! I hope those that attended felt the same! Lauren discussed her dietetic internship experience, her experience at Queens College, and gave helpful study tips. Next week's club meeting is also going to be another Wednesday meeting. Mentoring Program information and sign up!

Dear QC Dietetic members, We have a very important announcement for our Dietetic Internship mentoring program! For students who are applying ONLY for* SPRING MATCH 2022*, you are eligible to participate in the dietetic internship mentoring program. To be a mentee of the program, you need to do the following: 1. Read the attached DPD Mentoring Guidebook (you will fill out the mentoring agreement section with your mentor) 2. Fill out the google form below. Please complete EVERYTHING with your information including the area of interest/concentration. We will be holding the dietetic mentorship meeting around the beginning of *November.* I will send more information with the date of this meeting towards the end of October so keep an eye out around that time. * 30 minutes before the meeting, the Mentor and Mentee will have the chance to meet up with one another in breakout rooms on Zoom. These groups will be paired based on the area of interest/concentration, and you will know who your intern match is before this date. * A general Q & A session with mentors, mentees, and the program facilitator Professor Charny will also be held during this time after the initial 30-minute mentor/mentee meet-up.
