[History undergraduates] REMINDER: Internships at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History -- a presentation by Omar Eaton-Martinez
Dear students, Omar Eaton-Martinez, Intern and Fellows Program Manager at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, will be on campus in October to present internship opportunities at the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC (http://americanhistory.si.edu). This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about interning at one of the top cultural institutions in the country. Don't miss it! Where: Powdermaker Hall 333 When: Thursday, October 23, 12:15-1:30 Omar Eaton-Martínez, M. Ed., recruits and manages over 200 interns and fellows. He conducts presentations to various stakeholders to increase access to the Smithsonian, and develops partnerships with educational institutions and non-governmental organizations, as well as providing strategy for diversity recruitment for certain positions at the museum. He created the Smithsonian Career Center Conference to educate stakeholders about the intern/fellow experience at the Smithsonian.
