Attached is a press release for this year’s New York Library Association Youth Services Section Spring Conference scheduled for Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Holiday Inn on Long Island just minutes from the Islip MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma. If you would be so kind as to forward this conference announcement to your members’ listserv, we would be extremely grateful. YSS/NYLA welcomes personnel from both public and school libraries, as well as library students to its annual conference. We hope your librarians might find some continuing education sessions at the conference of interest.
We certainly appreciate your assistance in letting your members know about this exciting opportunity on Long Island. Should you have any questions, please contact me.
Thank you again, Cheryl Masie Marketing Chair
-- "As a general rule, librarians are a kick in the pants socially, often full of good humor, progressive, and naturally, well read. They tend to be generalists who know so much about so many things that they are quite the opposite of the boring old poops they have been made out to be. Most of them are full of life, some even full of the devil." -- Bill Hall, editorial page editor, Lewiston (Idaho) Tribune, Sept. 9, 2001
