Good Afternoon, Student Leaders! Please join us on Monday, March 15th at 12:30pm for the Palmer Women's History Month Symposium: Women, Advocacy and Activism in a Global Pandemic. Zoom Registration Link: http://bit.ly/3arjfhw Guest Speakers: Indrani Goradia, QC Alumnus; Founder, Indrani’s Light Hetal Janai, QC Alumnus; Founder, SPEAK (Support, Prepare, Empower, Aspiring Kids) Jenny Brown, Teacher, Activist, National Women’s Liberation Diana Moreno, Director, Women’s Rights Program, New Immigrant Community Empowerment Join the Women and Gender Studies (WGS) Program, WGS students, and the QC/CUNY community for a conversation with our four guest speakers. Topics to be considered: women’s labor, work activism and advocacy; the impacts of the global pandemic upon women’s labor and childcare and education; global advocacy for immigrant communities, women, and children; and responses to increases in global domestic violence and organizations devoted to intervention and care. Pre-registered participants will have the opportunity to communicate through a live chat with our esteemed speakers.
