This is a 2014 Queens College WORLD OF WORK project, sponsored by QC’s Accounting Department and the Office of Academic Innovation and Experiential Learning WHO: QC students who are in business related majors/minors such as Corporate/International Finance, Accounting, Economics, Political Science, Math, or BALA etc. APPLY now to be considered one of 20 students to visit the offices of and hear presentations from: James Steel, Chief Commodities Analyst at HSBC Marc Chandler, Global Head of Currency Strategy at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. WHEN: This one day site visit to HSBC on February 7 and Brown Brothers Harriman on February 14. Dear Students: The tuition for all students registered between December 10 and January 6 is due on or before January 15, 2014. If your tuition is not paid on or before this date, you will be automatically dropped from classes. If this happens, we will not re-register you if the class has been closed. If the class is closed, you will be required to register for an open section. Please be responsible and act accordingly. I will be in for registration and advisement on January 9 & 23 from 3-7. Typically we have tutors who tutor Accounting 101 and 102, Accounting 201 and 202, Accounting 311 and most classes. In the past, our tutors have been both undergraduates and graduate students, as well as students holding masters degrees. Presently one such student is also adjuncting in your Department, Marlene Dockery who tutors on Saturdays. > We ask that our tutors have received an “A” in the course(s) that they are tutoring and provide a letter of recommendation from a faculty member. The hourly rate is quite modest at $10.99, and we can only offer a few hours per week at the beginning. > You can ask any interested students to send the attached application and a CV to me at the following location or to come in person.
