The Academic Commons is an open platform created by and for CUNY faculty, staff, and students. It is a Wordpress-based platform that helps people at CUNY connect, learn, teach, and more. Users can create private groups, public sites, or a combination of both. It's a great platform for teaching a class that integrates student writing, creating a public-facing website for an event or program, developing an open educational resource, and building an online portfolio. This workshop, led by CAC Open Educational Technologist Laurie Hurson, is designed to help you get started creating groups and sites and making use of this fantastic tool.

Cosponsored by the Queens College Center for Teaching and Learning and the Rosenthal Library.
