Dear Colleagues,

Just wanted to let you know that local playwright/actress Kayhan Irani will be premiering her one woman show "There is a Portal" in the Godwin Ternbach museum space in Klapper Hall next Monday April 23rd at 12:15 pm.

This is the second in a series of pieces that she is writing/imagining that explore the domestic war on terror and how fear and hatred have eaten away at the fabric of American society. This play is deeply personal - Irani weaves together childhood recollections and personal stories of immigration with the political history of US intervention in the Middle East and the propaganda that accompanies war and violence abroad.
