Hello all,

Queens Memory is preparing to begin a new oral history project dedicated to LGBTQ history in the borough of Queens. Organized by Queens Memory volunteers Martha Knutzen and Fran Kipnis, the project will kick off with an information session led by Queens Memory director Natalie Milbrodt and program coordinator Richard Lee on Monday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 pm.

All interviews gathered during the project will become part of the permanent collections at Queens Borough Public Library. Our presenters will give some background on the Queens Memory program, explain this special project, and share how you can get involved. Expect to hear interview excerpts from some hometown heroes!

The information session will be held at the Queens Democratic Club at St. Mark's Parish House, 82nd Street and 37th Avenue, Jackson Heights. To sign up for the session or to learn more about the project, please contact Richard Lee at Richard.J.Lee at queenslibrary.org<mailto:Richard.J.Lee at queenslibrary.org>.

Thanks!
Lori
