Dear Faculty and Staff,

Apologies for the additional posting, this message contains updated links.

Queens College undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply for an exciting, experiential opportunity to teach English in Vietnam over 6 weeks. This 6-week summer teaching internship is in a program called Summer Fun which is hosted by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (www.vnseameo.org) in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), formerly known as Saigon. Students in Education, TESOL, Linguistics and Communication are preferred but applicants from all programs and majors are welcome to apply.

SEAMEO’s Summer Fun program aims to help kids improve their communicative English by providing a fun learning environment. The program lasts for 6 weeks in mid-June to July. Interns teach from 16-20 hours a week to kids ages 7-15. Some mentoring is provided both through SEAMEO on site and with Queens College through the support of the English Language Institute (ELI).

QC students chosen to participate receive complimentary on-site boarding, guided tours with opportunities to travel, and a small stipend. Students may also receive partial subsidy for round-trip air travel from NYC to HCMC from QC.

Deadline to apply: January 3, 2017. For questions, please contact: Sayashmini.madhow at qc.cuny.edu
