Subject: Funding for Scholar Exchanges (Fulbright Canada)

Dear Dr. Fernandez,

I am writing today to encourage you to reach out to your colleagues and encourage them to apply for the Fulbright Visiting Research Chairs Program. This program is valued at US$25,000 per semester in a wide variety of disciplines. This is an exciting opportunity to spend a semester abroad, collaborate with leading scholars, and join the prestigious Fulbright family. If you know of anyone who is studying and/or conducting research in the themes below, please share this email with them so that they can join us for the professional and personal experience of a lifetime.

Fulbright Canada Visiting Research Chairs Overview

These Research Chairs are pre-arranged affiliations to host exceptional scholars who conduct research important to that university. Partner universities are excited to welcome the Fulbright Visiting Chairs into campus life and encourage them to engage with students and faculty, and the broader community. You can guest lecture at university courses, mentor students, lecture in public venues, network, and promote your research, while representing the Fulbright program, and your home and host institutions.

Testimonials:

Dr. Rebecca Jill Mancuso, American Fulbright Canada Visiting Research Chair

"Please allow me to express to all of you how grateful I am for the hard work on your part that made my extended stay in Calgary, Alberta, so wonderful. Serving as the Fulbright Visiting Research Chair at the University of Calgary for fall of 2013 was the opportunity of a lifetime. I would not have been able to advance my research agenda to such a degree had I not been invited into the Department of History, and not unimportantly, I made friendships in Canada that will surely endure."

Dr. Tonia Louise Warnecke , American Fulbright Canada Visiting Research Chair

"It is a fantastic opportunity to delve deeply into your research, meet new contacts and potential collaborators, and have much-needed time to evaluate your research priorities and your career path. It is also an easy place to live for a semester or a year; Canada is terrific."
