[Socrates] concert opportunity

Hi All,

The Queens College Choir is collaborating with Vox Nova, the middle school choir of the Special Music School.
They have exchanged "penpal" notes to an assigned buddy and will be performing side-by-side.
The concert will feature each group performing alone, as well as a combined performance of John Corigliano's Fern Hill.

The poignancy of Dylan Thomas's poem Fern Hill, looking back on childhood is particularly sweet as it is Corigliano's 75th birthday, and the college students, seeing the middle schoolers have a different appreciation for "youth" and "childhood".

The performance will take place at St. Malachy's - The Actor's Chapel in Times Square - an interesting and beautiful location!

All are invited! 

Friday April 5th, 730pm
St. Malachy's Church, 239 W. 49th St, Manhattan
$15 adults, $5 students (to benefit the St. Malachy's organ fund)
