The QUEENS CONSORTIUM ON LOTE and The INSTITUTE FOR LANGUAGE EDUCATION IN TRANSCULTURAL CONTEXT (ILETC)

Teaching Language, Teaching Literature: State of a Union

 May 6th, 2013, at The Graduate School and University Center (CUNY)

The Institute for Language Education in Transcultural Context (ILETC) is pleased to co-sponsor the Queens Consortium on LOTE’s Second Conference, Teaching Language, Teaching Literature: State of a Union to be held on May 6th, 2013 at CUNY, The Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Avenue, New York. 

The confirmed keynote speakers are Rosemary G. Feal, Executive Director of the MLA, and Dan E. Davidson, President of American Councils for International Education and Professor of Russian and Second Language Acquisition at Bryn Mawr College.

Among suggested topics are all perspectives on the theme and best practices at the level of the Institution, the Department, the Curriculum or the Classroom.  Proposals for individual presentations, workshops or complete panels should be submitted electronically as a single file (.doc, .docx, or .pdf) to LOTEproposals at qc.cuny.edu  before March 24th, 2013, at 12 noon.  A complete proposal includes name(s), institutional affiliation(s) and email address(es), title and abstract of no more than 300 words. 

Receipt of proposals will be acknowledged within 24 hours, and acceptance no later than March 31st.
