The Gross-Stewart Awards
The CUNYAcademy of the Humanities and Sciences, a UFS affiliate=
, will again host the competition for the Feliks Gross and the Stewart Trav=
el Awards. Here is a list of last year's Stewart winners (http://cunyufs.o=
rg/academy/awards/StewartTravel2010.pdf) and a description of the purpose o=
f the Gross and Stewart Awards as well as application forms (http://cunyufs=
.org/academy/awards/Awards2011.pdf).
The Stewart Travel Grants provide travel grants of up to $500 t=
o tenure-track assistant professors in their first three years. The deadlin=
e for applications is March 15. The Feliks Gross Award is awarded to two un=
tenured assistant professors for outstanding research upon recommendation o=
f their provost or chair or colleague. The deadline for applications is Mar=
ch 31, 2011.
