Insights into Housing New York: A Five-Borough, Ten-Year Plan with Daniel Hernandez April 19, 2016 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm 20 Cooper Square, 4th Floor Daniel Hernandez, Deputy Commissioner for Neighborhood Strategies at the Department of Housing, Preservation, and Development (HPD), will provide first-hand insight into the city's landmark housing plan created by the de Blasio administration. The plan and many of its strategies have provoked great and important public debate on ensuring equitable communities in NYC. Hernandez will be joined by Michael Ralph, Director of Metropolitan Studies at NYU. This talk is presented in conjunction with Dr. Shatima Jones and her Spring 2016 course, "Mapping the Urban Ecology: Racial Communities, Ethnic Enclaves, and Multicultural Populations in NYC."
