Job Information CUNY Academic Resource Center Coordinator- The Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding (CER in Queens, New York Job Title: Academic Resource Center Coordinator- The Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding (CERRU) Job ID: 20999 Location: Queens College Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular POSITION DETAILS Queens College, located in Flushing, Queens, is one of the four-year colleges affiliated with the City University of New York. The Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding (CERRU) is a diversity and inclusion based training center that works at the individual, community, and systemic level to create equitable spaces on campus and in the community. Reporting directly to the Director of CERRU., the Program Coordinator will assist in the designing and execution of CERRU programming, as well as networking with students, faculty, and community members. The organization works in a collective fashion, and the Program Coordinator will contribute to decision making regarding multiple activities handle by the unit. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, specific duties include but are not limited to: -Coordinates trainings, events, meetings, dialogues, workshops and lectures on behalf of CERRU on the Queens College campus and in the community. -Acts as a liaison to /creates relationships with various college departments and offices, student clubs and organizations, and within the greater Queens community. -Conducts basic research and prepares reports and surveys on CERRU related topics of interest. -Assists with the coordination of the Center's message through its website, promotional material, newsletter, and social media platforms. -Maintains the departments website -Assists with creating and maintaining budgets. -Facilitates workshops and trainings, as needed QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required. Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated office and/or program management experience * Knowledge/experience with issues of diversity and inclusion * Experience working on projects centering issues of equity CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Provides operational and analytical support for a learning resource center. * Assists in providing academic resources such as tutoring, remedial and/or other targeted student support services * Maintains center records including student files; prepares reports and surveys; collects and maintains statistical data on center activities * Assists with the planning, scheduling and execution of training programs, lectures, workshops, meetings and special events * Acts as a liaison to various College offices to ensure smooth operations and quality service * Serves as resource person for students and faculty regarding center policies and procedures; conducts basic research as assigned. * May schedule individual and group sessions for students * May supervise part-time and/or clerical staff; may monitor department budget * Performs related duties as assigned.
