[UrbanStudiesCircular] NYPIRG 10/15 Environmental Event Feat. NYAG Letitia James Invitation
Hello All, This email is sent on behalf of NYPIRG please read below. ?"I hope that you are doing well! I wanted to reach out to inform you and your students about NYPIRG's Make Polluters Pay event, which will be held via Zoom on Thursday, October 15th at 4pm! Would you be able to post the following message for your students who may be interested in joining? ANNOUNCEMENT: Our Make Polluters Pay event<http://bit.ly/3kLPjis> will feature a keynote address from NYS Attorney General, Letitia James!! On Thursday, October 15th at 4pm, NYPIRG, along with NYRenews and the NY Youth Climate Leaders, will host New York State Attorney General Letitia James to talk about how we must make polluters pay! For decades, the fossil fuel industry and others have lied about their role in causing the climate crisis and in polluting New York's air and water. As New York looks to clean up this pollution, protect our natural resources and combat climate change, it should be polluters footing the bill. Join us during this digital assembly of the people to learn how we can hold corporate polluters responsible for their actions -- through the legal system, through policy, and through organizing. Please sign up fast as space is limited at this link: http://bit.ly/3kLPjis. Thank you again for working with us this semester, and please let me know if you have any questions". -- Cecilia Ellis Nadine Pratt Project Coordinators NYPIRG at Queens College 718-997-3954 queens@nypirg.org SU LL-36 nypirgstudents.org<http://nypirgstudents.org/> [https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1pyQnaYWPPR1HwnS3yZ_V2jOmRL3Ok...] TAKE ACTION.
