[UrbanStudiesCircular] NYPIRG Voter Helpline
Hello All, Please read below! ?With all of the uncertainty college students have felt since COVID-19, one thing we want to make sure goes well is voting in the upcoming Presidential election. NYPIRG has run a non-partisan voter helpline during elections for many years -- and we're doing it again. This year, NYPIRG will be focusing our voter helpline services on college students, many of whom will be first-time voters. NYPIRG's Student Voter Helpline will run from 6am-9pm on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3rd. Student voters just have to call our Helpline at (212) 822-0282 and trained professionals and lawyers will help answer questions about where their poll site is, their voter eligibility, what to expect at the polls, or what to do if their right to vote is challenged. We will also be offering virtual Voter Office Hours over Zoom during the early voting period for one hour a day (similar to our successful virtual Voter Registration Office Hours we ran weekly ahead of the voter registration deadline). In the coming days, we will be following up with a promotional packet for the Early Voting Office Hours and Student Voter Helpline. Would you be able to share information about this service with Queens College faculty and students? Thank you again for your continued support, we are excited to work with you again on such a worthy initiative.
