We are seeking working scientists to mentor students in the Woodland Ecology Research Mentorship<http://www.wavehill.org/education/woodland-ecology-research-mentorship/> (WERM), a unique 14-month internship program for motivated high school students to be immersed in ecological studies and research in New York City's natural areas. Students spend approximately seven months with Wave Hill staff and others doing formal and informal coursework, fieldwork and training in ecology and GIS. WERMs are then placed with mentors to design and carry out a research project. We would consider a current graduate student with research experience. Thank you and please feel free to contact me.
