Hello Prof. Melissa Checker,

This is Daniel Davenel. I was one of your students in the Spring of 2018 and I have been working as a Recruiting Clerk for The United States Census Bureau since May 2019. The Census Bureau is doing a massive hiring from now until April for the upcoming 2020 Census. If it is not too much to ask, would you inform your students about the 2020 Census Employment opportunities and where to apply. If you could also put some of these up in the hallways of Powdermaker Hall on the bulletin boards that would be lovely.

Attached is a promotional material flyer but I could also fax or mail you some promotional material a well.

We will be recruiting over 300,000 applicants throughout the region, hiring has started and will be a continuous process from now until the Spring of 2020.

Anyone may apply, however, only US citizens and applicants 18 years of age or older may be considered for employment. This too is subject to change as there have been waivers in the past.
