This Friday (April 8th) and Saturday (April 9th) is the Black Lives Matter Teach In at Pratt. We have over 20 sessions over the course of two days. The structure of the teach-in brings us all together in the mornings to share information, the afternoons are breakout sessions, and the final session of the day brings everyone back in again. There are also open spaces for spontaneous, urgent, immediate, meetings and conversations.

The teach-in will feature a keynote lecture by Sheila Pree Bright, a nationally recognized fine-art photographer and activist whose current project, 1960Now: Faces of a Movement, examines race, gender, and generational divides to raise awareness of millennial perspectives on civil and human rights.

The keynote is on Friday, April 8th 4-5pm in Higgins Hall Auditorium/ Pratt Institute, Brooklyn

The teach in is designed for everyone on campus and is open and free to the public.
