Queens Memory is happy to co-sponsor a free screening of the independent documentary, Pomonok Dreams, on Sunday, October 15 (3-5 pm). The film, which was recently featured at the Kew Gardens Festival of Cinema at the Queens Museum, focuses on the history of the Pomonok Public Housing project, located just across Kissena Boulevard from the Queens College campus. Filmmakers Alan Stark and Terry Katz, lifelong Queens residents and educators who grew up in Pomonok, will be on hand along with other guests for a post-screening discussion.
