Work this summer with Vietnamese teachers as they help children in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) learn English. Student Information Sessions: Wednesday, December 7, 2016 • 12:15–1:30 pm, Powdermaker Hall 117 • 4:45–5:45 pm, Powdermaker Hall 115 “Summer Fun” is a program hosted by the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO; www.vnseameo.org). This experiential teaching and learning program helps children in Vietnam improve their English skills by means of a fun learning environment with native English speakers. Education, TESOL, Linguistics, and Communication majors preferred. The internship includes: • Six-week internship starting in mid-June 2017. • Co-teaching 16–20 hours a week to students ages 5–15. • Room and board, plus a daily stipend. • Guided tours with travel opportunities, such as tours of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cao Dai temples, the Cu Chi tunnel, Mekong Delta, Mui Ne, and Da Nang, as well as a shopping tour. This highly competitive internship program with six positions open to undergraduate (junior and senior) and graduate students. Must be a U.S. citizen.
