Stand for Tenant Safety Halloween Hearing had an impact! The Stand for Tenant Safety hearing was successful in keeping council members accountable in passing STS's four proposed bills<https://metcouncilonhousing.nationbuilder.com/r?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcoopersquare.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2016%2F10%2F103116-STS-and-SNYC-Press-Release.pdf&e=3e6a59ecd2d7d42db70ec077a3ab275d&utm_source=metcouncilonhousing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=e_blast_11_04&n=3>. The rally and hearing had a large turnout, with members from Met Council as well as other NYC housing justice organizations attending. The council members asked the Department of Buildings and Finance tough questions regarding tenant safety and predatory equity. We will keep up the pressure on council members to pass these bills.
