Panel Discussion: Immigration Under Trump Wednesday, Nov. 16 | 4:00 - 6:00 PM The City College of New York 160 Convent Avenue Shepard Hall, Room 558 More info: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/panel-discussion-immigration-under-trump-ticket... The election of Donald Trump to the American presidency has cast serious doubt on any number of issues in American politics. Concerns about the future of immigration policy--especially for DACA, and undocumented people--are especially acute. What does Trump's election mean for the state of immigration policy? What should DACA holders and undocumented people do next? What can concerned citizens do to learn more and get involved? In order to begin answering these questions, and others, please join us for a conversation this coming Wednesday, November 16, from 4:00-6:00pm, at The City College of New York, Shepard Hall 558. We will be joined by Rebecca McBride, director of legal services for Atlas DIY -- a leading immigration legal advocacy organizations -- along with a youth community organizer for Atlas, and a representative from the New York Immigration Coalition. Our guests will talk about the current state of play for immigration policy following Donald Trump's surprising victory last week, what critical next steps people with immigration concerns can take on a variety of fronts, and -- to the extent they are able -- will answer any questions people may have. If you are interested and able to attend, please RSVP <https://www.eventbrite.com/e/panel-discussion-immigration-under-trump-tickets-29381449707> immediately so we can accurately anticipate numbers, and respond accordingly. Keep in mind that this event is directed primarily at students, but please feel free to share. We will look forward to seeing some of you there.
