After working with practically all of you in SEYS 221 I know that you have what it takes to step up to the plate and become officers of the Tutoring Club for the coming years. Please understand that TIME 2000 is only as good as its student body, and that means YOU! This tutoring club was formed by students in T1 in 1998 and it has run beautifully ever since. Surely, you do not want to be the group who let it dissolve!! So please, decide amongst yourselves who will step up to the plate tomorrow and be the ones to take the club forward so that we can maintain our position in the community as great tutors for students in need of math help. Of course, this will go on your resume and speak to your leadership qualities. The same would hold true if you volunteered for the Newsletter.

Dear TIME 2000 Freshmen and Sophomores,

I hope you enjoyed LIMACON on Friday and got many ideas for your future classrooms. One way to prepare for teaching is to tutor. Working one-on-one with a student will help you learn about student misconceptions and student learning styles while you practice your questioning and teaching skills. At tomorrow’s seminar, MT4 will be asking for volunteers to serve as officers next school year. I encourage all of you to tutor and to serve the TIME 2000 community by running for office for MT4.
