As you know, LIMACON will be held at SUNY, Old Westbury, on Friday, March 18, 2022. Here are some things you need to know about attending the event: * Instructions for the bus will be sent the week of LIMAÇON from Tobi. Please be sure to check the bus list to confirm your name is on the list or to be added to or dropped from the list. * QC requires you to complete a COVID questionnaire the day of the event. Please see attached and be prepared to sign a copy before boarding the bus. If you are not taking the bus, please see me at the event to sign a copy of the form. Please do not attend if you answer "Yes" to any of the questions. * Be prepared to take notes at the conference. Before the pandemic, they always gave pads in the folders. Bring a pen or pencil. * If you signed up for a workshop that sounds like it needs a calculator, bring one! (Or have a calculator app on your phone) * Bring a mask even if CUNY no longer requires them at the time in case LIMAÇON requires them. Please wear a mask on the bus if you are taking the bus. * TIME 2000 students will be the guest speakers at our April seminar and will present what they learned at LIMAÇON. If you see a great presentation or learn something new, please volunteer to share what you learned at the seminar. Save handouts from the speakers (get another set of handouts at the end of the workshop if you are thinking about presenting). We will help you plan a brief presentation. You can present together with a friend if you prefer. * Get the names and email addresses of good presenters to share with Mrs. Weinman. * Take lots of pictures with your friends! We are missing two years of pictures due to the pandemic. You will appreciate having them when you plan for your own graduation. * When you arrive at the conference, check in at the registration desk. Bagels and coffee and juice are usually served. If there is time, visit the vendors showcasing math manipulatives and textbooks. The vendors will often give free samples so ask them if they have any samples. You can also visit the vendors during your lunch break. * Let's sit together during the keynote address. When you enter the auditorium (around 8:30am), walk towards the front. We usually sit in the 4th or 5th row.
