Good evening TIME 2000 students, 

 

As most of you are aware TIME 2000 runs a club called “Today’s Tutors, Tomorrow’s Math Teacher” (MT4). MT4 provides us TIME students with the opportunity to earn experience in teaching that we can then apply to our studies and future teaching positions both in terms of helping students and talking to parents. Not only that but it allows us to earn more than minimum wage and who doesn’t like that. That’s where you all come in. Normally elections would be held during one of our monthly seminars. But with the pandemic that is going on that can’t be done so we encourage you all to send us an email if you are interested in running MT4 during the 2020-2021 school year. There are 6 positions that must be filled: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and 2 public relations officers. The president will make sure that everything is running smoothly and efficiently, this job is also shared by the Vice-President and the secretary. The Treasurer will keep track of how much money the club has raised during the fundraisers you will hold. The public relations officers will be in charge of social media for example during the yearly Time 2000 conference. As for the jobs that are shared, you will all be in charge of contacting parents and updating a spreadsheet with parents who are looking for a tutor. The person who oversees the sheet will change on a weekly basis. You will all also be responsible for organizing and holding fundraisers.
