Thank you for your time and consideration, Kevin Sue-A-Quan ------------------------------------- Ace Academic Learning Centers aceacademick12.com<http://aceacademick12.com> Position: Tutor Job Description Location: Queens Village, NY Type: Part-time *Provide individual and small group tutoring to students. *Assist students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a regular basis (at least 2x per week) to clarify learning problems and work on study skills, while incorporating evaluation points from the Scantron Performance series exam. *Other assistance might include: reviewing class material, discussing the subjects not appointed as a problem area, practicing/predicting test questions, and formulating worksheets for exam reviews. *Tutoring is a supplement to classroom teaching. Tutors are not expected to know everything about the subject for which they tutor. However, all tutors must be prepared to review as needed, and must be cognizant of the new developments in designated subject area. Responsibilities *Complete tutoring material in the amount of time allocated. *Teachworks Responsibilities/Reconciliations. *Assign homework as necessary to attain consistent progress. *Contact assigned students classroom teachers within first week of instruction include Program Director and Parent into the emails. *Bridge gaps in updated information i.e. emails/phone numbers or other contact info. *Be punctual for all scheduled tutoring sessions.
