Dear TIME 2000 Students,

I hope you and your family members are well and staying healthy.  Dr. Artzt and I continue to miss you terribly and cannot wait until we can all return to campus. We are concerned and would like to hear from you by way of a journal assignment.

The following assignment is required for all freshmen, but all students are welcome to respond as we would love to know  how you are doing.  Journals should be submitted via e-mail to both Dr. Artzt (qcartzt@gmail.com) and Mrs. Weinman (Naomi.Weinman@qc.cuny.edu), as text in the e-mail (NOT as an attachment to the e-mail) by March 31, 2020. THEY SHOULD ALSO BE HONEST, SO WE KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS.  PLEASE DON’T JUST TELL US THINGS YOU THINK WE WANT TO HEAR.  THE ONLY REASON FOR THESE JOURNALS IS TO GET REAL HONEST FEEDBACK FROM YOU SO THAT WE CAN BE OF HELP, EVEN IF IT MEANS ADJUSTING THE PROGRAM IN SOME WAY.

Journal Assignment:  The Spring 2020 semester is unlike any we have experienced before!  We are interested in getting your feedback on several issues and, more importantly, knowing how you are doing.  Please respond to the following in as detailed and honest a manner as possible.

1. What is your name?  How are you and your family?  How are you handling the changes in your life caused by the coronavirus pandemic? 

2. Describe your experiences this semester thus far.  Include a BRIEF description of the courses you are taking and your feelings about those courses (both TIME 2000 and non-TIME 2000 courses).

3. How is your life outside of school? (e.g., Are you working, or were you working until the coronavirus restrictions were enacted?  If so, where and how many hours?  Is it interfering with your school life?  Are you able to have a social life? )  HOW IS LIFE AT HOME?

4. Describe any other thoughts and feelings you would like to share about the TIME 2000 program that you did not mention above.  What things would you like us to be sure to do in future semesters?  Please let us know any questions you may have.

5. Describe any other thoughts and feelings you would like to share about yourself that you did not mention above.  What is going on in your life right now that you’d like us to know about?
