Dear TIME 2000 Seniors,
Congratulations! You have made it through this most tumultuous year and are about to graduate from QC!
Dr. Artzt and I have been speaking about your graduation celebration and are wondering if you would like to revise your plans. When you voted to delay the event until we can meet in person, we knew less about the virus and how long remote
learning would last. As summer classes will all be online and no decision has been made about the fall, we would like to give you the opportunity to reconsider having a virtual TIME 2000 graduation celebration.
You should discuss this as a group but reply to me individually. As a group, you would need the following to proceed with a virtual ceremony:
a.
Your individual speeches
b.
The professor speeches (I would need to send a new invitation and collect new replies to see which profs would attend)
c.
A date and time that all of you can be available.
Please let me know what you think today, if possible, or certainly by tomorrow by replying to this email.
Include the following information:
1.
Your preference: Virtual event or keep delaying indefinitely for in person event
2.
Send me days of week/times of day/possible dates that are good for you and your family. With a virtual event, there will be no ticket limit so all your loved ones can be in the meeting.
3.
Suggestions you have for making this work. What ideas do you have for having a successful virtual event?
Thank you for your prompt response.
Mrs. Weinman
