Dear TIME 2000 Students, Happy Pi Day! I hope you enjoyed LIMACON. If you learned something you would like to share at the April seminar, be sure to indicate so on the attendance sheet at tomorrow's seminar. Please remember to bring the special supplies for tomorrow's seminar, especially the printout of the photos. See the attached sample as well as the info below. See you tomorrow! Mrs. Weinman TIME 2000 Seminar Tuesday, March 15, 2016 Special Guest: Richard Diaz, Adjunct Professor, SEYS/Art Ed., QC, CUNY Section d'Or, One Story of What Happens When Math Meets Art SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS There will be a hands-on art project at this seminar. * Please bring a standard 8.5" x11"" print out, containing two Black & White photographs (head shots). * One shot should be somewhat frontal and the second should be more of a profile shot. * Each head shot/selfie should fill up half of the printed page (see attached example). * Close ups and cropped shots, like the ones people sometimes use as facebook avatars are ideal. * It's OK if you can see some stuff in the background * Materials for students: rulers (ideally containing a metric scale of measure), drawing/drafting compass, pencils, protractors, optional basic/simple calculators to do math, like the one's on most phones WE WILL SUPPLY SOME RULERS, PROTRACTORS, AND COMPASSES TO EACH TABLE. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF YOU BROUGHT SOME, AS WELL.
