TIME 2000 Seminar Tuesday, October 6, 2015 8:30am-10:05am Patio Dining Hall Special Guest: Mary Ann Mansfield, currently Co-chair of the Working Group of the National Museum of Mathematics and member of its Advisory Council, past president of the Nassau County Mathematics Teachers Association, board member and contributor to SUNY Old Westbury's Institute for Leadership Training, and solutions' author for Mathematical Olympiads. Presentation: Strategies for Problem Solving + Mathematical Practices = Building Better Thinkers Seminar attendance is mandatory for all TIME 2000 students. Food vouchers will be available before the start of the seminar, 8:00am-8:30am. Please note that the cafeteria does not give change if you do not use the entire $6.50 on the voucher. If your meal comes to less than $6.50, consider grabbing a piece of fruit or snack bar for later in the day, or combining your order with a friend’s order. Vouchers can be used any time of day during the semester when the food services are open. *The Patio Dining Hall is part of the Cafeteria Building. It is at the end of the building closest to Kissena Blvd in the middle room.
