Dear TIME 2000 Students,

I hope you enjoyed today’s seminar.  At the seminar, we discussed the new Regents Review sessions that will be offered to prepare you for senior year.  In the fall semester Methods course of senior year, you will take 3 quizzes based on the mathematics Regents exams.  You are required to earn a minimum of 8 out of 10 points on the quizzes.  If you do not earn at least an 8, you will be required to sit for a full Regents exam (3 hours maximum) and earn a grade of at least 80%.  If you speak with the seniors, they will tell you that this is not as easy as it sounds.  There have been many semesters when I have administered over 40 full exams.  In our efforts to help you prepare for student teaching and for these quizzes, we will be offering the review sessions once a week.  High school topics will be explored in as much detail as is needed through Regents problems; that is, discussions will go beyond the simple solutions.  You would be expected to attend once per week and to spend an additional hour per week preparing for the class.

Please complete the survey at the link below to let us know if you are interested in attending the classes and the best times for you.

Please reply even if your answer is “no” so that I know you received this email.
