If you are currently teaching, you can get involved with or without students. If you are currently an undergrad, this is a great way to make connections while learning about how to run a math team (certainly something to list on a resume and discuss at an interview).

The NYC Math Team is hosting their first practice for the 2015-2016 year on Friday, September 25th, 2015. We need volunteers who are interested in lending a hand at each practices. Hi Mrs. Weinman!
You can send this e-mail to undergraduate, graduate, and alumni. Math team coaches are welcome to come learn how to run a math team, get resources, and see how ARML and NYSML math competition runs. The coaches are encourage to bring their high school students to the practices. Our goal is to expand the team to include students who excel in mathematics and to provide opportunity for these students to interact with amazing coaches, famous lecturers, and students from other school. Math team coaches and high school students can register for the event at the NYC Math Team Web Site <http://www.nycmathteam.org/practices/> (or copy and paste the direct link: http://www.nycmathteam.org/practices/) All math team coaches are in the committee where we make decisions of how to fund and run the practices. Once they register on the Web Site, they will be subscribed on our e-mail list. Our next meeting should be around Friday, September 4th.
