What: Panel on Minority Entrepreneurship moderated by Provost Stellar with featured guests John Hope Bryant and Jeff Gomez When: Wednesday, March 13th, Free Hour 12:15 – 1:30 P.M. Where: Student Union Ballroom, 4th Floor John Hope Bryant is the founder, chairman and CEO of nonprofit Operation HOPE, member of the President’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability, and co-founder of Global Dignity. Bryant has been cited by the past five sitting U.S. presidents for his work to financially empower low-income communities across the country. He has received more than 400 awards for his work, including Oprah Winfrey’s “Use Your Life Award.” Jeff Gomez is the CEO of Starlight Runners Entertainment & Queens College Alumnus. Jeff is an expert at transmedia storytelling. Starlight Runner Entertainment is an animation and live-action feature film production company and leading creator of highly successful fictional worlds. Jeff has worked on such blockbuster universes as Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, Prince of Persia and Tron, Microsoft’s Halo, James Cameron’s Avatar, Hasbro’s Transformers, Mattel’s Hot Wheels and Coca-Cola’s Happiness Factory.
