From Bach to Brazil: QC Vocal Ensemble and Baroque Ensemble Winter Concert

In a program featuring music spanning five centuries, the Queens College Vocal Ensemble will combine with the Queens College Baroque Ensemble to present a performance of one of Bach’s most moving and beloved Cantatas, BWV 106, Gottes Zeit is die allerbeste Zeit. In addition, the Vocal Ensemble will be performing choral arrangements of music by Ernesto Nazareth, Milton Nascimento and Sérgio Santos in celebration of Queens College’s Year of Brazil<http://brazil.qc.cuny.edu/>. The arrangements have been specially crafted for this performance by QC Alumnus and accomplished jazz musician Richard Boukas.
