The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL) presents Revisiting Writing In Our Classrooms, a series of three workshops focusing on the pedagogy of academic writing (Spring 2024). Designing Writing Assignments with Purpose – 2/26/2024 Register: https://forms.office.com/r/UmxuyCDz2r In this workshop, we will reflect on our writing assignments with an eye towards sharing, revising, and refining them. We’ll discuss principles for creating purposeful and accessible writing assignments that help students learn disciplinary expectations and genre conventions and the influence of generative AI on our assignments. We’ll also discuss scaffolding and other techniques to help coherently organize a sequence of writing assignments.
