General Education (Pathways) CETLL Fellow: applications due September 6
Call for participants General Education (Pathways) CETLL Fellow During the Fall 2024 semester, the Queens College Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, & Leadership (CETLL) will sponsor a Faculty Fellow Program on the subject of General Education for full-time faculty. At Queens College, general education is implemented the Pathways requirements. This program will sponsor approximately 8 faculty fellows who will: 1. Attend and participate in four in-person meetings in Fall 2024, to be held on Mondays from 3:15–4:30pm on the following dates: September 16, October 7, October 28, and November 18. 2. Read and discuss resources related to general education and general education assessment. 3. Work as a team to develop a provisional assessment plan for general education assessment to occur on campus in Spring 2025. The team will present this plan during the first annual Assessment Showcase on December 6, 2024. 4. Contribute to the Queens College community in Spring 2025 by: * Participating as a member of the campus-wide General Education Committee; and/or * Presenting what they learned during the program with their department or academic school. Fellows who fully participate in this program will each receive a $500 stipend, to be paid in January 2025. Please note that it is not expected nor required that you have experience teaching, developing, or assessing general education courses at Queens College to take part in this program. This program will be facilitated by Christopher Hanusa, Faculty Liaison for Evaluation and Assessment, and Amy Wan, Special Assistant to the Provost on Writing.
