NEW Scholarship Program from the Goethe-Institut, Free Summer A1 Class for SUNY and CUNY students
Dear All, Please pass on to any interested students — Thank you, Christa ++++ The Goethe-Institut has just announced a new scholarship program for SUNY and CUNY students only. Take an introductory/beginning German course (corresponding to A1.1 and A1.2 level) this summer and apply for a full scholarship! The course meets from June 26 - August 30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 to 5:15 PM at the Goethe-Institut in Manhattan. The course is conducted entirely in German. Interested students should contact the Goethe-Institut directly at germancourses-newyork@goethe.de with a short (approx. one paragraph) explanation of why they are interested in learning German. Scholarships are given without regard to financial need, but students should reach out to them as soon as possible if they are interested. This is a great opportunity to work on their German language skills and advance more quickly to higher level coursework if they so choose. If you have further questions, you should contact: Robert Bloom Language Program Officer Goethe-Institut New York 30 Irving Place New York, NY 10003 Tel. +1 212 439 8685 Fax +1 212 439 8705 germancourses-newyork@goethe.de http://www.goethe.de/newyork ++++ Have a great summer - Mit freundlichen Grüßen Prof. Spreizer Christa Spreizer Associate Professor German Program Queens Hall Rm 330D Department of European Languages & Literatures Queens College/CUNY 6530 Kissena Blvd. Flushing, NY 11367 (718) 997-5587(phone)/(718) 997-5072(fax) christine.spreizer@qc.cuny.edu
