Help us promote an information session for a Spanish Consulate sponsored program to work as an assistant teacher in Spain
Dear ECP & EECE faculty, Attached is a flier for an upcoming information session coordinated by HLL Chair, Jose Martinez-Torrejon, and the Provost's office. The session will highlight a program, sponsored by the Spanish Consulate, on a 9 month paid opportunity for students (in their junior/senior years or recent graduates) to work as classroom assistants in a Spanish city of their choice. Please email the flier to your students or make copies for in class distribution. Thank you for helping us get the word out on this terrific program. - Denise Cetin The blurb for the event on the Provost's Office Experiential Education page: http://www.qc.cuny.edu/about/administration/Provost/Pages/Experiential.aspx reads as follows: Information Session to Teach, Learn, & Travel in Spain Date: November 5, 2012 Time: Free Hour, 12:15-1:30pm Location: Powdermaker 154 Work with classroom teachers in Spain as K-12 classroom assistants. Share your language and culture with Spanish students in Foreign Language Schools from October 2012 through June 2013. Conduct conversation lessons and participate in extracurricular activities such as work- shops, school trips, music and theater events, and sporting events. This program is sponsored by the Spanish Embassy's Education Office. Each grant winner will receive a monthly allowance plus full medical insurance. Open to students from all majors who have successfully completed at least four semesters of college coursework and have at least an intermediate level of Spanish. Recent graduates also are encouraged to apply. There is no fee to apply to this program. Come to the information session on November 5th during free hour in PH 154 to find out more.
