Reminder: Application deadline 3/4 for Open-Source Digital Tools for Teaching
Dear Colleagues, Please apply to join--and also share the following announcement for the Open-Source Digital Tools Workshop that Baruch CTL is conducting in collaboration with the CUNY Innovative Teaching Academy. Application deadline is tomorrow, Friday, March 4, 12pm. Baruch College CTL Presents: Open-Source Digital Tools for Teaching March 2022 Seminar Overview The Open-Source Digital Tools for Teaching seminar, hosted by the Baruch Center for Teaching and Learning, offers faculty an opportunity to discover and develop skills with technologies that will build engagement among students and faculty in and out of the classroom space. We’ll discuss the affordances of openly-licensed and accessible digital platforms that diversify opportunities to learn. Faculty who are open to learning new digital tools are welcome to participate in the seminar and are eligible to earn a certificate of completion in one of two possible tracks. Schedule Introductory Session Wednesday, March 9, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. (Online) and Track 1 Workshop: Tools for Faculty-Created Materials Wednesday, March 16, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. (Online) ———or——— Track 2 Workshop: Tools for Student-Created Materials Wednesday, March 23, 10 a.m.–12 p.m. (Online) + plus one additional lab hour with a facilitator-partner All CUNY Faculty/Staff are welcome. Participants who fulfill these attendance requirements and who create an artifact demonstrating a working proficiency in the use of one or more open-source tools will receive a certificate of completion for the seminar. Participation is unpaid.
