In this session we will:
Discuss ways to identify and connect with potential research mentors and supervisors
Discuss the resources available to you in developing a strong research proposal,
Discuss how to connect with Fulbright alums,
Discuss resources, support, and information prior to and during the application process!
This session will devote particular attention to providing tips and advice in successfully fulfilling the letter of affiliation required for Fulbright study/research applicants.
What is the Fulbright?
Fulbright Grants for Study and Research Abroad provide for one year of academic study or research in over 140 countries around the world. Projects may include university coursework, independent library, lab, or field research, classes in a music conservatory or art school, special projects in the social or life sciences, or a combination. Some countries support enrollment in graduate degree programs.
Fulbright Grants for English Teaching Assistantships (ETA) provide funding and placements for one year in primary, and secondary schools or universities where grantees contribute to English-language instruction. ETA grants are offered in over 60 countries around the world. Recipients are expected to propose small research projects or community engagement activities beyond their teaching responsibilities.
