It will be especially helpful to those conducting research. The two topics covered in this session are: Machine Learning with MATLAB This session will explore the fundamentals of machine learning, a computational technique that takes data and produces a model to make predictions. Highlights include: € Accessing, exploring, analyzing, and visualizing data in MATLAB € Feature selection and feature transformation € Specifying cross-validation schemes € Training, evaluating and using many different machine learning models € Integrating trained models into applications such as computer vision, signal processing, and data analytics Optimizing and Accelerating your MATLAB Code This session will demonstrate simple ways to improve and optimize your code that can boost execution speed. It will also address common pitfalls in writing MATLAB code, explore the use of the MATLAB Profiler to find bottlenecks, and introduce programming constructs to solve computationally and data-intensive problems on multicore computers, clusters and GPUs.
