(this message is being sent on behalf of Jason Tougaw for the Year of South Africa Program) Dear colleagues, I’m writing to remind you about the second lecture in the Year of South Africa “short course” series. On Wednesday, November 12 (12:15 - 1:30 pm) Loucas Tsilas, former Greek Ambassador to South Africa, will discuss the geopolitical and diplomatic response to the demise of South Africa’s apartheid regime—drawing on his experience as Greece’s principal envoy in Pretoria / Tshwane in the late 1980s. Professor Joel Allen (History) will introduce Ambassador Tsilas. The event will take place in the Godwin-Ternbach Museum (Klapper Hall, 4th floor).
