The Center for Ethnic, Racial and Religious Understanding (CERRU) at Queens College CUNY is looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to work with us part time as a Program Manager. Individual will work with us five hours a week 5/20/2019-8/15/2019, and ten hours a week 8/15/2019-12/23/2019. Hourly rate to be negotiated commensurate with experience. The program manager will take the lead on designing and implementing CERRU programming during the first half of its 10th Anniversary year. This year will include extra exciting programming such as a summit like event called the “Innovation Exchange,” which will focus on “Re-Imagining Leadership”, as well as CERRU’s 10th Anniversary Gala. Hours can be negotiated around other scheduling issues. Some hours must be worked on the Queens College campus, particularly in the fall.
Responsibilities Include:
● Oversee all aspects of event planning and implementation, including liaising with vendors and speakers.
● Work with CERRU staff and students to design and develop calendar of events.
● Oversee development of two large events: CERRU’s Innovation Exchange and CERRU’s 10th Anniversary Gala.
● Contact and maintain relationships with speakers and collaborating organizations.
● Develop content and resource packets for informational use at events.
● Work in close collaboration with Communications Coordinator.
