are happy to invite you to the screening of two Italian contemporary films (in Italian with English subtitles)

 

ITALIAN CINEMA CUNY (IC-CUNY)

 

When: Tuesday, October 24th from 5:30 to 9:30

 

Where: Rosenthal Library #230

 

What: 

L'uomo che non cambiņ la storia (dir. Enrico Caria, The man who did not change history, 2016) an innovative documentary on the visit of Hitler to Fascist Italy in 1938;

 

L'ordine delle cose (dir. Andrea Segre, The order of things, 2017), a film on the efforts of the Italian government and the European Union to work with the Libyan authorities to reduce clandestine migration from Libya to Italy

 

Q & A with Prof. Antonio Falduto and Prof. Gerasimus Katsan

 

Snacks and beverages will be served between the two screenings.

 

The festival will continue at the Graduate Center, CUNY on October 25th with the screening of the film Dopo la guerra (dir. Annarita Zambrano, After the War) followed by a roundtable with film scholars, Giancarlo Lombardi, David Ward, Nicoletta Marini Maio and the film director.

 

The events are free and open to the public.
