QC Undergraduate or Masters Level students:

We are proud to announce that Queens College has been selected as a CUNY Service Corps Campus for Fall 2013. This exciting new university wide initiative creates opportunities for students, faculty, and staff to work on projects to improve the city’s civic, economic and environmental sustainability by working directly with community agencies.

Most Service Corps placements  for QC students will last twenty-four weeks over two semesters; students will work an average of 12 hours per week and be paid $12-15 per hour.

  1. Students must apply online to participate in the CUNY Service Corps. Applications will open this spring and close on June 1, 2013. Finalists will be interviewed in June and July, and students who are accepted into the Service Corps will be notified in July or August.
  2.  Eligibility criteria includes: full time status, minimum 24 credits completed, 2.5 min GPA.
  3.  All Service Corps members will undergo a training program before their placements begin, most likely in September.
