Community Engaged Learning Fall 2024-Spring 2025 Faculty Workshops In collaboration with the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL), Dr. Leslee Grey (Secondary Education and Youth Services) and Cristina Di Meo (Experiential Education) will facilitate 3 workshops in Fall 2024 to help guide up to 5 faculty in creating and integrating a Community Engaged Learning (CEL) project into an existing course. CEL is defined as an educational approach that integrates academic learning with community-based experiences to foster active citizenship, social responsibility, and civic engagement. Workshops will include support with course design, incorporating structured reflection, assessment, and developing community partnerships. Faculty will then teach their revised course in Spring 2025. Faculty in all disciplines are invited and welcome. Selected participants will be notified by Monday, June 3. A stipend of up to $2,500 will be provided to faculty upon completion of the workshops and implementation of the revised course.
